Plato, Iowa

Iowa Ghost Towns

Plato, in Cedar County, Iowa....shows up on the 1895 map that your site links to, but is not listed in the Cedar County ghost towns. It is located in SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of  T80N - R4W - Sec 16. (Gower Township)

I don't know information about the town right off hand, except that I think it had a two-story train depot. I could get information, or you could contact the Cedar County Historical Society at 563-886-2899 for more information.
